How does my child get to the center from my town?
For children with Florida Medicaid, rides to and from the center are covered by Medicaid's transportation benefit, which is separate from the PPEC benefit 5. That benefit pays for the ride. Florida's PPEC policy requires the center to provide an escort when the benefit is used, so your child never rides alone 5.
Tell us where your child would be picked up, at home or at school, and we will tell you what can be arranged. We have not published route maps or ride times, so call us to ask whether your address is on a route. Read how your child gets to the center for the full picture.
What makes Superhero Kids different for families across the county?
Superhero Kids is the county's largest licensed PPEC, with 82 seats, and it is open six days a week 17. That matters when you live in Wellington or Palm Beach Gardens and work long hours.
Children in any Florida Medicaid plan can attend. By law, AHCA, the state agency that runs Medicaid, pays the PPEC directly even when your child is in a Medicaid health plan 6. Your child's doctor writes a physician referral, which Florida's rule calls a prescription, and we help with the rest 5.
Our team speaks English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Portuguese and French, so you can talk about your child in the language you think in. Speech, physical, occupational and feeding therapy are available at the center through our partner, Progressive Pediatric Therapy, if your family chooses it.
Call (561) 877-2152. Open Monday to Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm. We return calls within 15 minutes during those hours, and you can visit the same day.
Do you take families from outside Palm Beach County?
Yes. Some of our families live in Broward County, in Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach, just south of Boca Raton 3. Whether a ride is covered depends on Medicaid's transportation rules and your address, not on the county line 5. If you live farther away, call anyway. We will tell you honestly whether the trip can work for your child. Call us to ask whether your address is on a route.
